The Dow Chemicals site in Kings Lynn wanted some specific support when recruiting Process Technicians. Typically a large number of applicants applied for these roles whenever they were advertised locally. Dow wanted us to help sift through a large number of applicants by administering appropriate psychometric tests in order to create a shorter list of applicants for interview.

We helped them choose the appropriate tests, in this case SHL Occupational tests, and also recommended the best cut off point to apply in order to shortlist the most capable applicants.

After each testing session we meet with the line managers on site to discuss the outcome of the testing and our recommendations for each applicant. Although it may be tempting, the line managers have determined for themselves not to ignore the test results as this usually leads to poor quality candidates being interviewed unnecessarily.

The line managers have developed a strong level of trust in the testing and the service we provide to help them make consistently high quality recruitment decisions.
